Lotus Slider Auto Braking System – SABS

Lotus offer a unique slow down mechanism to control the movement of the panel at the end of its motion. The Lotus Slider Auto Braking System (SABS) ensures that when approaching the end of its range of movement in either the opening or closing direction the panel is ‘braked’ to ensure that it closes softly against the receiving jamb or stop.

This protects both the panel and the surrounding structures from harsh and sudden stopping, and very importantly minimizes the possibility of serious finger entrapment or injury. Cleverly this system does not interfere with the ease of operability of the panel.

The SABS system is only required in applications where there is limited seal friction. Please consult Lotus regarding specifying this feature.
