Lotus is proud to be a member of WERS and have certified energy ratings for our Glas-Stax Frameless and Fineframe products with U Values as low as 3.4. These ratings can be used in building energy efficiency modelling software* which will help you select the best Lotus Glas-STAX system for your needs. WERS is the Windows Energy Rating System and is administered by the Australian Windows Association, and is a freely accessible database that lists the energy efficiency of windows. The key measures are 'U-Value' and 'Solar Heat Gain Coefficient' (SHGC). U-Value relates to the amount of energy that can be transferred across a window assembly (glass, frames, seals etc). This value tells designers how well the window insulates the building and informs decisions regarding airconditioning and heating services design as well as providing an indication of the cost associated with keeping the living space at comfortable temeratures. SHGC measures the amount of direct radiant heat energy that is transferred through the glass of a window system. Residential WERS certification for Glas-STAX can be found here. Commercial WERS certification for Glas-STAX can be found here. Certificates attesting to the thermal performance of Glas-Stax can be downloaded from wers.net. * NatHERS, FirstRate, AccuRate as well as Section J of the NCC WERS & AWA Membership & Compliance Certificates
