Operable Walls - acoustic operable walls

Peerless acoustic performance

Lotus' range of operable walls are built for a wide range of environments, from a small meeting room to a convention centre. In tests, our walls achieved a result of RW55, the highest ever for an operable wall in an Australian test.

The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) and Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC), trust Lotus to install and maintain their operable walls, amongst the largest in Australia.

We don't just offer high performance - our walls look good too. Myriad finish options are available to suit the visual aesthetic of your project, and three stile and thickness options make them suitable for frequent handling in the toughest environments.

User friendliness built-in

Good looks and high performance are important, but what sets our operable walls apart is their ease of use. We provide a tool to make moving panels easier; footbolts also have handles, and our panels don't rely on nail-breaking finger holes to move them around. Moving single panels around an omni-directional tracking system is made easier, even for novice users, by using programmed diverters wherever possible.

Once your wall is installed, our policy is to call back, demonstrate the use of the wall and leave printed instructions. To guarantee the performance of your wall into the future, we also offer ad-hoc servicing, and a regular maintenance program for more complex installations.

Made to last

Most Lotus walls have MDF faces which are stronger than plasterboard. The frame can be screwed into the board, resulting in an immensely strong panel.

Servicing and maintenance

Attending to a service call-out matters to us as much as installing a new wall. We have an excellent reputation for a quick response in such situations. A maintenance service is also available for larger, complex installations.

Customer handover

Once the project is completed, Lotus’ policy is to demonstrate its use and leave printed instructions.
